    Here are the steps in gaining your professional recognition

    Step 3 – Think you may qualify for an exemption? Email your degree transcript to education@micpa.com.my 

    Step 4 – Pick the right stream (see below)

    Step 5 – Register for the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme here. 

    Step 6 – Complete the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme and the 3 years practical experience.

    Step 7 – Apply for MICPA membership (email your enquiry to membership@micpa.com.my)

    Pick the right stream

    When you register for the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme, you will need to choose a stream that describes your situation. Please refer to the guide below:

    Stream I – If you are currently working with one of our Approved Accounting Firms (AAF)

    Stream II – If you are currently working with one of our Approved Training Organisation (ATO)

    You can check if your current employer is listed as our AAF or ATO, also known as Approved Training Employer (ATE)

    Special Stream II – You are currently in your 4th year Bachelor of Accountancy degree programme accredited by MICPA or CA ANZ.

    Stream III – You have completed a degree in accounting that has been accredited by MICPA or CA ANZ and would like to study the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme full time.

    As part of the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme, you’ll complete 3 years of mentored practical experience with one of our Approved Training Employers (ATEs). Once you’ve completed the programme and fulfilled the 3 years of approved experience, you may be eligible to apply for a full membership with MICPA and CA ANZ.
